Both seem like nice, slim cases made from TPU. The belkin seems a bit more rigid and has silicone covers for the buttons. The mercury has a felt lining to protect the phone inside the case. Other than that, they seem similar. Who has experience with these cases? I may wind up with both. Thanks.

Those looks terrible. Why would you put that on your phone? It's like putting fake hood vents and racing stripes on a BMW.

There are much better, slimmer, stronger, better fitting, better designed, better looking, and more protective cases out there

Useless reply. Thanks!

I have the candy sheer grip with the black/green. Nice fit and materials. Used it for a while bought it was a bit bulky for me.. i'm looking for an ultrathin one that covers all sides (hard to find besides the high priced powersupport)

I've had mercury cases before for other phones and they had a good fit, but all of them had the pearl sparkly finish which I wasn't too fond of.

Man, I don't mean any offense, but dear god, it seems like every case is hit with the demerit of 'it's too bulky.' Come on, it's a case! It has to add some bulk in order to protect the phone!

It's like saying your legs help you to walk but they're too heavy. Your nostrils help you to breathe but they stick out too much from your face. Infuriating!

My guess would be the Mercury has an atrocious opening on the bottom. i.e. one large opening for everything and a flimsy straight piece of TPU along the chamfer.

The answer should be obvious. The Belkin.

Based on your description, the case you desire will not have a lip. Here's a cheaper option to the Power Support Air Jacket:

The belkin is definitely getting some positive reviews on this site. I think I will get it.

The super thin case you link to is appealing as well. Fortunately, it's out of my set price range, so I won't be getting it. It looks beautiful though.

Personally, I am a fan of the Belkin case. (I have it in 3 colors.) I like the feel of it in my hand and it offers decent protection.

Unfortunately, you are correct: it does not have individual cutouts.

What section is the chamfer?

OK, I think I understand what you are talking about. I had to take a look at the design of the iphone more closely, as I just got the phone.

I don't know if the merc. case has a matching chamfer or not. I was too disappointed with the lack of individual cutouts to check for this feature.

I love the candy grip sheer but the only thing about it I would change is the camera cut out. Also it will lift any rear protector you might have on the phone whether it be dry or wet install.

I ordered both cases. Amazon unfortunately sent me a pink belkin rather than a black and green one, so I had to send that one back. I also have an acase, which is nice with the port covers. Decisions, decisions.
