Sometimes I make a post and have something else to say to someone else but I get hesitant because I think the person I'm responding to won't get a notification (since double posts automatically merge), so I have a few questions.

If you do a double post and quote or mention someone in the second post do they still get notified that they were quoted? For that matter, if you edit a post and mention or quote someone do they get notified?

What about in reverse, if you remove a mention or quote will they still have the notification?

The quoted member will still be notified if consecutive posts are automatically merged.

Automatic post merge test. :)

Update: This doesn't appear to happen anymore with the new design. I wasn't notified of a merged quote.
