Merge iMessage

I have an iMac with older iMessage conversations and an Air with new ones. I'm selling the iMac so I want merge his old conversation with the newer of the Air.
Is it possible?
I tried to copy this "~/Library/Messages" into the Air but replaces completely his original folder.

Ok I think it's pretty impossible.. I tried at least to transfer the new MESSAGES folders from imac to macbook air, but it seems it doesn't load the history.. why??
