I have two machines with different users.
I would like to migrate iPhoto library from a laptop to a desktop.
I will have no need for the laptop.

I would also like to merge iTunes music but that is not as crucial.

Is there a way to export photos from iPhoto library to a folder, then copy that folder / insert into another library?

Thank you.

Yes... it is fairly easy. Open iPhoto then go to the photos section and do a command-a to select all. Now go to File menu / Export then select the options you want.

Normally you would want to select the "current" version for export and maintain the photos in their existing format. You can also select an option that will group the photos in folders by event name. Then just export that to a Desktop folder or wherever.

When that is done copy the folder to the new machine then open iPhoto and use the import option from File menu to import the entire folder.

Did you click on the two links ?

If you don't need preserving the albums or folders of one of the two libraries, do as Weaselboy suggested (Events will be preserved).
