Merging iOS backups

I was on 9.3 beta before downgrading to 9.2.1, I also made backup in My Windows PC so I could later restore but I couldn't because the backup was created with higher iOS version. I'm only interested in my messages because there are many important conversation stored in there.
Is there any way I could get my backup merged or only messages.

9.3 official will be out next week, so, jump into 9.3 beta again, upgrade when official is out and you don't have to think about your messages anymore
