Merging iPhone and iPod touch forums

I'm just throwing this out there.

I feel that the iPhone and iPod touch forums should be merged. The devices are so closely related, and is especially so now with the additional applications for the iPod touch. They are essentially the same device, just with the difference being the EDGE chip.

And also, I think the iPhone forums is too diversified for the activity there. Maybe kill off or merge a few of the sub-forums? Maybe a single forum for the iPhone/iPod touch, and a sub-forum for the phone-specific features of the iPhone (ie complaints of how AT&T sucks, and so forth).

Then my point about spring cleaning the forums stands stronger IMO. There's just way too many forums for them.

The iPhone is a complicated beast after all; it requires a plethora of sub forums no?

I personally think that they should definitely be separate. (as they are now) Even though "they are closely related" each has its specific issues.
