I have a family iMessage thread, and at some point a message was sent as an SMS rather than iMessage. Now the two have become split into two separate threads, and anytime someone has low signal ands sends an SMS it gets put into the random offshoot thread. I tried deleting the second thread, but it came back once another SMS was sent.
Everyone in the group is on an iPhone, both contact lists are identical on the two threads, but sometimes messages will get sent to the SMS thread. Especially annoying when it is a "Liked an image" message, because now it has no context in that thread.
On everyone else's phone it is one complete thread. Is there any way to merge them or tell messages that they are the same group? Maybe leaving and rejoining?
