Merging SRT files with a movie?

Hi, I was just wondering if there was any program that could permanently merge a subtitle file into a movie file. Or a program that would burn a DVD with the SRT file and the movie file together. That's free of course. I tried using Burn but the SRT file wouldn't go into the DVD.
