Message app not mirroring Iphone

Hi all,
I have a weird issue with my watch. All notifications for email and iMessage are turned off on iPhone, But the watch still flashes up with an iMessage notification. The watch app has been set to mirror the phone.

Has anyone else had this issue? If so what did you do to fix it?
