Th G5 at work continues to be a problem. I tried using disk utility and safe boot but nothing worked. I tried to boot from the Tiger install cd, both by holding down C at start up and by selecting it to be the start up disk, and both ways lead to the grey multi language screen of death. Any ideas on what the problem may be? Thanks!

I haven't been getting the grey screen, but my G5 will not boot from CD withotu the fans going full blast. I did a hardware test yesterday (5 hours, ugh) and it didn't show anything.
Have you reset the firmware, SMU, run scripts and repaired permissions?
