On the mac when someone writes to you, it shows the speech bubble with 3 dots; on the list view as well as within the message body.

Would anyone else like this feature to come to iPhone, iPad etc.

So when you're looking at your messages in list view you can see this too?

I don't understand the question. iMessage already has this.

Edit: Oh, I think I get it now. Of course, that would be nice.

I don't think I'd care much when somebody was texting me unless i'm in the actual conversation view with them. Having those dots show up in the list view would be a mess. IMO

I think this is a great idea. Doesn't look like it's come yet in iOS 7 but definitely could come as a tweak in the jailbreak community.

The 3 dot bubble comes in handy when you just texted someone to see if they are actually typing something back to you. I dont remember ever staring at the summary view of text messages waiting for someone to type.

I think it would be good and "Delivered" or "Read" statuses in list view would be nice.

That way, you can know if your message was delivered without diving right in each message.
