Apps Messages and email

I have had every version of Apple watch from Apple Watch2 to the present Apple Watch 5 and on anyof themnon have notified me of the stock messages app nor the stock email app. Am I the only one with this problem and if anyone knows how I can rectify this please share. Ive tried all that I can think of to no avail.

Sounds like you need to take a look into your notification settings.

if the phone screen is on and unlocked, you shouldn't get notifications on the watch.

as suggested above, check the notification settings in the watch app on the phone

If that all looks to be in order, try an unpair and re-pair,
