I have 3 primary devices that I use - my MacBook, my iPhone and my Apple Watch. I have iCloud services, including messages in the cloud. I follow my true and old habits and very seldom keep any of the conversation past 2-3 weeks, most I delete after few hours or days as I seldom have any reasons to reference to go back to anything - if there is of any importance, I pull. the info from my messages and save them in apps like Notes etc.
Recently, I noticed a strange syncing behavior. There was always an issue with Apple Watch messages not syncing deletes, but recently, I observed, that if I delete a message on my MacBook, (regardless if it is blue or green bubble), that message would get removed from all three devices as expected; however, if I perform the same delete operation on my iPhone, it would only get deleted from my iPhone and MacBook only, leaving the message still on my Apple Watch. If I delete anything on may Apple Watch, the messages would continue to remain on both, MacBook and iPhone.
Has anyone experienced this issue? Is this behavior 'working as intended' according to Apple? What is the current expected behavior on how messages app should work / operated when iCloud sync is enabled?
