Messages + Apple ID + Screen Sharing??

In the past, I've taken advantage of Screen Sharing with the iChat buddy list using AIM accounts and Gmail.. and could have sworn I was able to login also with my Apple ID @me.com address and initiate screen sharing with other people signed in using Apple ID's that were in my buddy list.

I'm not seeing in Mountain Lion how one person with an Apple ID can initiate screen sharing with someone else signed in using an Apple ID.

Am I missing something?
