Messages bouncing dock icon no more?

Notifications are too intrusive for my taste so I have them turned off, but I did like the bouncing dock icon for messages, formerly set in the Messages "Alerts" tab of preferences in 10.8 and prior. Alerts is now gone.

Anyone know how to get back a bouncing dock icon for new messages?

I am also experiencing this, and it's really frustrating!

Would be great if someone has a solution?
