A friend of mine has changed her name, and I have changed her name and email address in Contacts accordingly. After that Messages on my iPhone shows the (very long) thread of messages with her with the correct new name, but in Messages on my Mac (macOS 10.12) the thread has still the old name. Disabling and re-enabling the Messages account on the Mac did not help.When I start a new message to her and type her new name into the recipient field Messages finds her but still keeps using the old name.
