Hey all, long time since I've posted here, but have hit a wall and need help:

I've recently embraced iCloud Photo Library and Messages in iCloud. Things have gone smoother than expected, and am enjoying the extra local storage thats been freed up on my iOS devices. It's been a week since the syncing has finished.

However, on my Mac (10.15.5), I still have 67.6GB of Messages data that isn't deleting itself. My Mac has long had held the majority of my messages (when I would normally delete on iOS), it was the primary source for Messages in iCloud. These are the two folders in my Library hogging up space, both being continuously updated but not shrinking in size. What should I do? Just delete and pray Messages in iCloud will sort it all?

There seems to be a another folder in use by Messages in iCloud for Messages

In another bout of strangeness, Messages is taking up 91.5GB of space in iCloud, not sure where the other 23GB it uploaded came from lol.
