Apps Messages not appearing in notification centre when using AirPods with iPhone

As the title suggests, when my AirPods Pro are paired to my iPhone and read out an iMessage to me, the message appears on my iPhone's Notification Centre but not my Apple Watch's.

Anyone else having this issue? I've restarted both devices to no avail.
