Messages not working...

So i can't see to send messages to iPhone/ipad/imac users anymore, this worked perfectly fine previously. Now when i try to send a message it shows me the red exclamation mark and "your message could not be sent"

Any ideas why? i have an iMessage account enabled within Messages preferences.

EDIT: iMessage works on both my iPhone and iPad, just not the Macbook Air (OS X 10.8.2)

EDIT 2: realized the title is a little misleading... the program itself works, i can chat with Gmail and AIM just fine, it's just not sending to iPhones/ipads with active iMessage accounts
