Apple seems to have a feature where a notification is silenced on whatever device you aren't working on. So if you have your phone on your desk but you are typing on your laptop, you'll see a text notification on your laptop but your phone won't ding. That sort of thing.
Problem is, I turned off popup notifications for my Mac because it's annoying as hell to be getting popups of group texts and whatnot while working. The side effect is that I'll get text messages but no notification anywhere, because visual notifications are off on my laptop, and my phone assumes I've seen the notification my laptop so it doesn't vibrate or anything.
Is there any way to change this behavior? It's causing me to miss important messages sometimes, and if I'm working, it'll sometimes be hours before I actually look at my phone without being prompted by a vibration.
