messages problem with facebook chat

Hi,

I have set up messages with my facebook account using the jabber protocol as I used to in ichat.

I receive all messages anyone sends me on Facebook, but I cannot send them messages. everything else seems to be working (i can see correctly who's online and who isn't...)

I've tried defining the port as 5222 as some tutorials told me to, and tried enabling and disabling the account, as well as allow the server to automatically detect which port to use. I'm not using ssl.

any thoughts?
