Hello all,

I have a Series 2 that I have noticed the Messages app on the watch will randomly stop updating and not show the current message convos/threads until I reboot the watch, then everything will update. I don't know how long it goes until it stops updating, it seems to be a few days, but it has happened several times in the past few weeks.

I actually did a clean install of iOS 11 and watchOS 4 when the public final versions were released, and did not restore from any backup (clean slate). I do remember the watch doing this a few times on watchOS 3 but since updating to 4 it is happening much more frequently.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had an issue with this as well as the complications not refreshing, sometimes for days on my 38mm S2 SS. Worked with an Apple rep for several weeks on this, installing a profile and monitoring the watch. They stated it to be a software issue and that iOS 11 would fix it. It has not, at least not completely. They still are claiming it as a software problem but no fix has been done.
This alone (and the lagging) is what's causing me to pre-order the S3. I need my complications and stuff to refresh!
