I am confused with the storage on Messages.

When going to System Information, Storage and then Message I can delete attachments from there which I have been doing and it is slowly going down.

Then I thought maybe a quicker way would be to go to a conversation I know had a lot of going back and forth with screenshots etc, so I can go to the info on the conversation, view the attachments and delete from there. This has had no effect on the storage taken mentioned under Recommendations, or are any of these attachments showing in the list there either.

Am I missing something here?

Getting back to trying to clear these up so bumping the conversation up again in case anyone has any guidance.

...Id like to clear a lot of this storage. Are attachments saved in iCloud too? Will deleting on one delete from all devices including iCloud?

Thanks
