Messages synchronization

I have an iPhone, an iPad, and several macOS computers. I have some problems with the synchronization of Messages with one of my computers, even though the settings are the same when I look at the Preferences tab. I also tried multiple times to log off and in again as many webpages on this issue advise, but that did not change anything.
Is there a reasonable way to troubleshoot Messages synchronization ?

did you ever get it sorted? i can get imessage on my iphone but not on macbook air, d/l’ing new public beta 1 now, hope it helps!

Unfortunately, I have accomplished no progress with this issue. I see others have it (posts here and there), but the commonly found workarounds did nothing for me.
