Messages To Multiple Recipients in Messages

Hi guys, I am having the Devils own time trying to figure this one out. For no apparent reason, I can no longer send messages to more than one person at a time. This happens on both my iMac and iPhone. Both are running the latest OS software. Randomly I seem to be able to hit multi iPhone users but if there is an Android in the patch, I get the red circled exclamation and the Not Delivered message.

On your iPhone, do you have Settings>Messages>Send as SMS selected?
Android phones cannot receive iMessages.

Thanks Peadoggie, I do and I seem to have all the other boxes ticked as well. I've also logged in and out of iCloud et.s do I am really stumped here.
