App Q&A testing by request.
I recently undated to Catalina from Mojave and have found that I can't send files (jpgs, pngs, whatever) from anything but the system drive (ie. USB drives)

When I try, the file goes into a long "upload" process til finally timing out with a Could not send error.

Doesn't matter if the message is being sent to another imessage user or otherwise.. same results.
If the exact same file is moved to the startup drive, it sends fine.

In some preliminary investigations, I've found this problem is also seen in other OS's like Monteray.

I've tried giving MEssages Full Disk Access but that hasn't solved anything....

But I think it's got to be a problem with the permissions none the less....

HAS ANYONE ENCOUNTERED THIS PROBLEM? Has anyone just tried it and found it not working for them on their OS..or now working?
Has anyone solved this problem?

Whoa, I think I've had this issue before and never thought about why it wasn't working. Interesting!
