Looks like Apple is going to allow other Google Voice apps as well.

Yesterday I received a phone call from an employee at Apple. He told me that the name of my app, "Google Voice Messenger" was a violation of their trademark rules, but that I could resubmit with a new name and it would most likely be accepted.

I followed his instructions renaming the app to "Messenger for Google Voice" and resubmitted. It is currently listed as waiting for review.

I submitted the app almost 4 months ago. Shortly after I received an email informing me that Apple required more time to review the app. I had not heard anything back until yesterday.

Messenger for Google Voice is an SMS app with push notification support. It will cost $2.99 when it is released.

Notification problem

I have the gv messenger app on my iPhone but I don't get notifications at all. I only realize I have a text if I go into the App and refresh it. How can I get alerts/badges?
