Hi,
I've somehow completely messed up the permissions on my external hd (can read from it, but not write (make directories, update Aperture vault) unless I log in as root in Terminal. I've tried sudo chmod -R 777 /Volumes/xxx, chown -R "user" /Volumes/xxx etc, but I only get "operation not permitted". A ls- l in terminal for the drive gives
drwxr-xrwx+ 17 "user" wheel 646 Sep 8 18:26 xxx
Any help is very much appreciated!!!!!!!
