messed up screen shots

When I try to take a screen shot the image comes out with black lines running across it. I have no idea why this is happening, can anyone help?

I need to take screen shots of a project for a client. I need shots of the website, photoshop documents and flash files.

Are you using Cmnd+Shift+4? or the "Grab" tool in Utilities?
Timed screen or select tool? Not sure why it would give black lines, maybe it's the frame lines.
