Messenger:Mac

Hey all,

I just signed into my msn on my Macbook today to find all my messenger contacts blocked, and whenever I tried to unblock them it didn't do anything.

Also when I signed on, almost all the contacts I had showed up like new contact requests, where I had the option to add them or ignore the request. When I used my windows PC with Windows Live, everything was normal and no contacts were blocked.

If anyone could help me, that'd be great.

I am using Messenger:mac version 7.0.2 (090123)
as far as I know, that is the most recent version.

Try using an app called aMSN (http://www.amsn-project.net/). I've had problems with messenger:mac and haven't had any with aMSN.

THat's strange, my girlfriend has the exact same issue with her MSN, she moved Adium to but it never shows up when she's online.

that happened to me a while ago. i would always sign off and check amsn in the morning (i like messenger:mac's userability over amsn..) and it always said i had offline messages..

when i searched the problem online, a lot of people were saying that before you sign in, click the "clear account history" button. nothing's changed, but you will need to put in your login info again, and if you had custom nicknames, it'll change.. hope this helps.
