Messenger Notifications on Facebook

Hi



Please look at the photo attached. In the top right corner there are showing three messenger notifications, I can’t get rid of this I have deleted both apps, turned off notifications of the apps,
but still no joy. iPhone 7, running latest update



Any suggestions?

Have you tried going to Facebook Messenger and check the new messages there (perhaps even on the web vs. through an app)? They might not even be in your usual inbox: https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/apr/08/facebook-hidden-inbox-filtered-messages

Thanks, I opened Facebook on Safari and clicked ‘Mark all as read’ and it’s worked! Not sure why it’s never happened in the past but pleased none the less
