I'm trying to get at the metadata of images (IPTC, XMP, EXIF) through finder over remotely accessed file shares. It doesn't seem to matter whether I use afp:, nfs:, or smb: (I've tried all three on the linux server); Info (cmd-i) doesn't show the metadata on my images. For example, these images have keywords, and if I copy the file locally Info shows the metadata, but when accessed remotely, I get none of the keywords.

Is there a way to make this work?
