I used to use a Rhinoskin metal hardcase that did exactly what a hardcase ought to: encase the entire laptop to protect it from pressure from all angles (useful because I carry my laptop in a backpack with heavy books that can press/rub the screen against the keyboard and occasionally wipe out on a bicycle while wearing said backpack).
It seems like Sounders has slowed down with these and I'm unsure if they even manufacture them anymore. It doesn't look like they've been updated to fit the new Retina MBPs.
Anyone use something similar? (the key features I liked about this that would make something similar were that it added relatively little to the "bulk" of my machine and it provided the pressure protection; aluminum material was a very, very nice perk)
