iPhone 13 Pro Max Metal Plates and NFC Pay Capability?

Will attaching a small metal plate to the rear of an iPhone 13 pro max interfere with the NFC's capability to pay at terminals?

I use the metal plate to attach to a metallic car dash mount. I have an option to attach it to the case instead of the phone.
 
Nope, it won’t affect ApplePay. I can still pay at terminals with the massive Apple MagSafe battery pack on the back of my Mini.
