metal-tipped nibs for Apple Pencil

I need replacement nibs for my Apple Pencil 2.

On Amazon, I see metal-tipped nibs, like this:

Does anyone have extensive experience with these?

I don't use a screen protector and I'm concerned they'll scratch the screen (even though they claim they won't).

Do you have personal experience with these or are you just restating my concern?

Metal is actually softer than glass. Metal won't scratch but may affect the anti-reflective coating.

Metal tip may also affect pen performance depending on the type of metal type

Thanks for sharing this video, it was very helpful! My favorite part was him using two Apple Pencils like chopsticks.

I ordered a fine point metal tip which arrives tomorrow morning. Will post here after I try it out.

I ordered a fine point metal tip which arrives tomorrow morning. Will post here after I try it out.

After a couple days of use, here are my thoughts:

• I'm not worried about the glass getting scratched.
• I can hear every single tap and slide of the metal tip. It doesn’t bother me but I can see how it might be annoying for someone who’s trying to be quiet.
• I like the fine tip for handwriting notes, but prefer the original tip for art and general stylus use.

All in all, I’m happy with it because I wanted it for handwriting but I think I prefer the original tip in general. Note, I haven’t tried any other tips… just the original and this one.
