by the look of this being v9, it looks almost like it's an OS9 app... but it's not.
This is indeed good news for OSX programmers. As Steve Jobs pointed out, xCode is good, but codewarrior is still faster. I wonder if this includes a speed increase (I would assume) as well as distributed builds like xCode?
 
Metrowerks is the Quark of the development industry. They love their marketshare, but do little to keep it.

Their compilers are certainly worth the price but their thoughts about how development should be done are not quite into the 1990s. Perhaps, they could set their sights on Borland C++ version 4 (1994).

Fast workflow is much more useful than fast compiling.
