Is that new, or old? I recall initially the Siri Remote wasn't a requirement and later it was changed to be one. Do you have a link to the page where to document comes from, other than a screenshot from someone's Twitter feed?

Being as the text refers to OS X instead of macOS makes me think it's likely a screenshot from something older.
