.mht -- viewing / converting in Mac OS X

I have hundreds of .mht (single-file webarchieve) files I saved from Internet Explorer. How can I view them (better yet, batch convert them to Safari's webarchive) on Mac with opensource or free software?

I got Opera to open them, but the formatting is bad.

There are so many that going back to the actual pages would be too time consuming.

Thanks. I found that one earlier, but it looks like it only extracts images from the .mht file.

I'd really like to convert .mht to Safari's webarchive (or even PDF would be fine). I use a program called Scrivener for writing and it allows the import of webarchives and PDFs (but not .mht).
