So my series 3 mic has stopped functioning after 1 shower. It was working fine right after until about an hour later Siri couldn't hear me. Text transcription couldn't dictate. I went thru apple care, did all the troubleshooting including remote diagnostics with them. Nada. Did the sound lock 4 times and allowed it to charge 24 hours as well. Doing a replacement. This is just a heads up to be weary of the water proofing and mic durability when in contact with any water. Not just high velocity water.

Nothing for anyone to be weary of. You just happen to have a defective device that is being replace. An analogue would be if someone's Digital Crown stopped working after turning it. You would not say to be weary of turning the Digital Crown because of it's durability.

I showered every single day with my S0 and never had a problem with the mic. Sometimes the speaker would get muffled for an hour or so, but once it dried out it was all good. You probably just got a bad unit.
