Mic not working for Google Hangouts?

All of a sudden my mic is not working on either my 2013 MBP or iMac when using Chrome and Google Hangouts or Google Voice. I have the mic enabled in the programs and in system preferences. Anyone have any suggestions as to why it stopped working on both Macs?
