I've been having trouble with the volume upon which my voice gets through to the other end of the telephone.

People I call with FaceTime (on my iMac through my iPhone) say that my voice sounds very soft. As if I'm standing in a cave or something.

I've tested the mic, recorded with Quicktime, but it seems to work just fine compared to another headset microphone. Calls made from FaceTime to FaceTime also sound perfectly. Skype too.

Is this a software issue? Did anyone encounter the same problem, and fixed it?

I got an iMac late 2012 with Yosemite 10.10.5 and an iPhone 5 with iOS 8.4.1
