You know, I haven't heard of a single one of these bands. Are these just small local UK bands, or am I just really uncool?
(I'll take your word for it, though)
You must have heard of Underworld??? They did the infamous 'Born Slippy' track from the film 'Trainspotting'?? They're like Gods of the dance world!! Beaucoup Fish is one of the great albums of the last 20 years....... They're also quite possibly the greatest live band in the world!! Well at the moment anyway!!

Midge Ure was originally Malcolm Maclarens first choice for the lead singer of the 'Sex Pistols', but he turned it down, he was also the guitarist in 'Thin Lizzy' (for a short time), and singer/guitarist/synth guru in Ultravox, he's now a solo artist and is huge in Europe...... He did the main theme tune for a 'Swatch' ad a few years ago!! And did the soundtrack for the film 'Went To Coney Island On A Mission From God (Be Back By 5). He's also a much underated guitarist!!

Curve are a techno/industrial duo, and have been going since the early 90's, a truely superb hard hittingly heavy band, and Toni Halliday is one of the great female vocalists. She also worked with the seminal Leftfield on the Leftism album. Did the track 'Chinese Burn' that was used by Sony for the launch of the MiniDisc!! Oh Toni Halliday is also a fox!!

Now Jack Dangers is Meat Beat Manifesto, he's kind of , break-beat, come techno, ambient etc etc, and is pretty well known in the alternative dance community!! Based in Northern California the last time I heard but he's from the UK, and he throws a mean gig, and is famous for the sheer volume of his bass at live gigs, that has been know to release the bowels of the crowd... heh heh!!
So they're all quite well known, not really mainstream, apart from say Underworld who chart.............
Trent Reznor uses Macs also......... and there's another guy...... who was in NIN but I can't remember his name, he was on Apple's site not long ago........
