I noticed something interesting when I got my very own Mac at the start of this year. Before I only had access to the community computer downstairs (a mac) and the Mac labs at uni. Which just had on whatever the people in charge of them had put on.
What I noticed was I was using my micosoft applications on this mac then I did on my micosoft based system (that is if you don't count windows...)
Microsoft system: XP...
Windows system (non Microsoft): Opera (instead of IE), Gaim (instead of msn messenger), itunes (instead of windows media player), Open Office (instead of MS Officce), Ad-ware (instead of M$ antispyware)
OSX Missoft: windows media player, MSN messenger, Word, Powerpoint, Entourage, etc.
Although now I have realised I didn't need to use any of them at all. Word is the only one I use anymore and I don't much like Neo office.
Anyone else noticed this?
