I'm getting the 4S but my old 3gs is in great condition and I may use it for backup while traveling. (try keeping your spot in line for a delayed train for 5 hours, you aren't going to be charging your phone lol, and my games eat battery like crazy). Or I might lend it to my mom whenever she wants internet on the go, etc. (she doesn't have a data plan, her provider is evil with data fees, but she's locked in right now) Whatever the reasons, as I'm still evaluating whether the extra $12 for Rogers data sharing is worth it - I was wondering if anyone has this data sharing between two phones with one phone having no actual calling service?
I know I can just call and ask Rogers, but if anyone here knows, for now - can you share with another phone, that does not actually have a voice plan on it? Has anyone ever got a regular sim for data only (that ISN'T a micro sim, for iPad of course)
The other possibility is I just keep the 3GS for when I don't want to take my brand spanking new 4S along - and just switch the sim back and forth as needed. Say if I go hiking, or doing more risky activities - as I would rather break it than the new 4S of course. But I hear people have a lot of trouble with these micro sim adapters, and was wondering if anyone uses one (regularly, switches the sim back and forth a fair amount) and has no real problems with it.
If so, what brand/where did you get it?
Sorry for being long-winded, it is my curse. Those are my questions for now
