Micro sim early??

Can I pick up a micro sim early from AT&T today since I am using my parents upgrade. Or do I even need to get one
 
Do you mean a nano sim for the iPhone 5? You'll need another sim if you want to transfer your number over.
 
I don't think so, went in yesterday and was told I need to come Friday to activate the phone under my number.
