Hey guys,

I have a stupid but probably bad problem with my 3G...

Call me stupid, but i managed to get a MICRO SIM stuck in it.

Here's the story:

So I had an iPad 3G, but the data SIM stopped working. It was a manually cut out sim and I still had the casing of the SIM, so I popped it in that. Then I putted it in my iPhone 3G... Tried various thing but it seemed my card just expired... (yes i know, stupid :()... Then I wanted to pull out the card, and it felt sort of jammed but the brute force in me managed to pull it out, making only the casing of the sim come out and the micro SIM being jammed into the iPhone...

Now how do I get it out? I hope the reader isn't damaged! I hope there's some handy guy who can help me! I'm so stuck for now, I don't have a backup phone.... Please, please help me!

I would be very grateful!!!!

Thanks in advance,

1. Toothpick.
2. Super glue.
3. Steady hand.

Use scissors or a razor blade to make a flat edge on the toothpick. Put a micro-sized dot of superglue on the toothpick, and cram that in to the phone, making contact with the sim. Let it dry. Yank it out.

Or would it be possible to dissassemble the phone and then just pull out the sim, because it seems like it's jammed at the top, near the call speaker....

This has happened to me before too. I purchased an iPhone 4 used from Kijiji and the next day I went to my carrier to turn my SIM into a micro SIM. My iPhone 4 wasn't synced with my backup yet so I was just going to use my iPhone 3Gs with the micro SIM -> SIM adapter. Stupidly, I didn't use any adhesive to keep the micro SIM in the phone and it fell out of place in the adapter and it was just a mess. Since I do iPhone repair, I'm pretty familiar with the insides so when I got home, I just opened it up and pushed the whole deal out the SIM hole from the bottom. Problem solved! :)

Problem solved!

Hi guys,

Thanks for all your help! I fixed the problem now. What I did is use two needles to "pull" the card out of the phone.. It was a tedious process but it worked, so I'm happy now!

Cheers!
