microphone cable

Hi

I want record the output of a radio microphone receiver to my iPhone. The standard 3.5 cable does not cary the signal to the iPhone. Can anyone suggest a cable that would do the job.

I can't remember the exact details, but the signal needs to be fed in through the multi-connector. There are posts here about external mic recording if you want to do a search.
