Sadly, it seems my watch is in need of repair. The microphone hasn't been working for at least a couple of weeks and I've tried resetting, repairing, etc. and no matter what, nothing will work with dictation. I can't wakeup Siri via "hey Siri", I can't message with the microphone, I can't use Siri even with the digital crown.

I've never dropped it, or submerged it. I have used the running warm water trick to unstick a sticky crown once, but other than that it's been well cared for. I wear it every day. I sure hope they don't have to send it in for repair!

I've got Apple Care on it, and I'm seeing a genius at the local Apple store tomorrow. Wish me luck!

I'll post my update after my visit to the store tomorrow.

Update: Cancelled by appointment because my microphone is now working! The fix was easy. I noticed that my microphone port hole was not black. Apparently sweat and skin and gunk had blocked the entry into the small hole. So, I took a soft toothbrush and worked the bristles into the opening and sucked the air out to keep the debris from falling into it further. And now, my Siri works just fine again.

It's funny, but the Apple tech I called back to tell them of my findings said he had never heard of doing that before nor had he ever thought to suggest that. So he's going to pass it up the chain of command as a remedy or at least something to check on when people call with this issue. You would think that they would have that in their tech support manual! Hopefully they will soon.
