I run my iPhone through the AUX input in my VW. The incoming caller sounds great through my speakers. However, the caller on the other end hears their own echo when they speak.

Has anyone found a way to rectify this? Perhaps there's a setting to tweak on the iPhone? Anyone figured out a way to deal with this issue?

Volume Adjustment

The only way you are gonna be able to cut down on the echo they hear is to turn down the volume on your end. When I do the same thing in my car I try to have the volume as low as I can and still be able to hear the other person. There isn't really an easy way to keep the sound from your car speakers from finding the mic on your phone. Maybe someone could make an app for acoustic echo canceling. It is the technology used in teleconferencing and videoconferencing for the same problem. But then I don't think the audio from in a call can be accessed by an app but I could be wrong.
