I have 2 microphone headsets that I want to use in Vista and neither one of them work on the microphone end of things. I get sound out of the headphones, but the microphone does not pick up any sound. It appears that Vista sees that I have plugged in a microphone, because I have plugged in the pink cable by itself and Vista recognizes it as an audio device.
Is there some kind of driver on the leopard or snow leopard install disc that is needed for a microphone to work? Or some kind of driver that must be downloaded? If it matters, the Realtek HD Audio manager is the program that is brought up on my system tab in the lower right.
